Llaeth / Milk 

The Welsh Government provides one third of a pint of milk to every child as follows:

• Free milk for key stage 1 pupils. These include pupils in reception, year 1 and year 2 of primary school
• Welfare under five school milk scheme. This provides to all nursery classes. 
   

In our school, milk is provided by Woosnam Dairies, a local and traditional family owned dairy company, based in Bargoed. 

Please find attached the Milk Carton Recycling Scheme that we are a part of at our school. We believe it is important that children learn from a young age how to look after our planet and how to recycle items. All pupils use plastic straws to drink their milk in order to reduce plastic waste. 
 

If your child is unable to drink dairy milk but you would like them to drink an alternative, please feel free to send one in for them or speak to their class teacher.
